I'd like to meet a good looking female nurse in real life...seems the only lookers are the male nurses. Reality sucks.

I can honestly say I've never seen a good looking male nurse.

But then again I'm a male, so my opinion may be biased.

What they need is a LFG channel.. mind you, im guessing general chat would go in LFG, trade in general chat, and LFG in trade, so yeah.. maybe don't bother.

Anyway, I picked up LFG from WoW and started using it in GW.. not until recently i've seen a lot more people using LFG, so i'm guessing it was spread about by people who played other mmorpgs where the phrase was also utilized.

What I really hate is all the hosers standing around...

(Stupid Moron) lfg
(Stupid Moron) lfg...c'mon
(Stupid Moron) LFG
(Stupid Moron) LFG LFG LFG LFG LFG LFG LFG

Include your class(es) and what it is your looking for a group to do, maybe your level depending on where you are.

*pulls hair and screams*

The way some people "look for a group" reminds me a bit of chemistry... or some sort of computer language.

I'm tempted to start a E/Mo just so that I can type "Tickle me Elmo LFG".

Guys if you are typing "LFG" please type your level and professions and any other pertinent info. As a group leader, it's a real pain in the arse to have to ask everyone these questions, especially when you group is more than half full and we're looking for a specific profession.

I'm at the point now where as soon as I see : "LFG, Mission + Bonus" ......and there's no character info....I just ignore. I mean, if you're not smart enough to understand the value people knowing in advance what your profession is before you get an invite, then honestly....what kind of team member are you going to be? The guy that blindly rushes in all the time andsimultaneously aggros every red dot in Tyria? The guy that runs ahead and talks to NPC's during missions so that you don't get the bonus?

When you're heading a group, you can clearly get a good indication of who might be useful and who might screw up a mission for ya just by the wording they use when looking for a group. And once you get to the shiverpeaks, you can't afford to be running missions with n00bs.

I don't do PUGs much, but when I do, I try to be at least somewhat memorable.

Ex. "I'm a Lvl 15 R/W, and may look manly, but I bake a mean batch of cookies. Invite me and see!"

Or "15 R/W and if you invite me, you can stop worrying about what your wife is doing right now."

I've have yet to type LFG. I always walk in and say, "Hey all, starting group for mission and bonus, who wants in?" And I usually grab the first people who want to go. It has made for some strange missions (especially in the international districts - love teaming up with Koreans), but I've never had to start one over yet.

On a side note Mmmmm cookies, Ardus you can be in my PUG anytime.

See? What'd I say, works everytime!

Lek Stacy--you got it. Anyone who can type Mmmmm cookies with that kind of flair has got to be someone worth PUG'ing with!

These are examples of the typical recruiting cries I use.

"Bold party looking for intrepid vict... er.. volunteers to trek to <insert mission>!"

"We need 3 more brave yet whimsical adventurers to slay <insert victim here>!"

"Who here has the stones to venture forth and eliminate <insert target here>!"

"Is there none among you with the intestinal fortitude to accompany this group to <insert location here>??"

"Looking for tough hombres! IQ not required! Teeth optional! Inquire within!"

"Join this group with more brawn than brains in search of <insert goal here>!"

"Seeking the bold and daring to start the mission! We provide excellent health benefits!"

"<insert enemy name> laughs at us while we sit here idle! Who will go forth with us to wipe that smirk off his face!"

There's others, but these are representational.

Experienced Aeromancer LFG: I HAVE DRUGS!

And when/if I get invited, I give the leader a pile of Glittering Dust.

i usually just get too frustrated with my group leader who likes to invite all of the same class and no monks to even try to post many LFG's. i have just found better luck inviting all those people who make up cute invite messages.

i have once seen, LFG of elite asians (maybe he/she dosn't speak english?)

The only reason I use LFG is because everyone else does, otherwise I'd use LFS (looking for squad) or LFP (looking for party). before I got to this game I'd associate LFG with "looking for guild"

That is... if you're not using a crappy web browser that can't do that.

I would rather invite someone that asks in a proper way than all the "LFG" people. I mean, if you're too lazy to write whole words, and instead spams the same LFG-line endlessly, I would raher invite someone else to be honest. I generally dislike abbreviations that can mean many things. And L.F.G. can mean alot, even withing the game.

But I guess that's just me. I just dislike overuse of abbreviations and shorthand or AOL speak. I cringe when people fill their posts on discussion boards with "lol" in every sentence and stuff. I mean, you got enough time to write properly on a forum as opposed to a hectic chat room... but now I'm rambling
